Returning the car to this Dulles location at 4:50 in the AM was a complete NIGHTMARE! The woman who works this location overnights is HORRIBLE. She is RUDE and completely UNHELPFUL!! I simply asked her how long until the shuttle came. She said “soon.” After waiting 15 mins. I asked her to please call the driver and find out how long. She calls the driver and then tells me he said “soon.” Then she goes outside to smoke and drink her coffee. I said “excuse me. I asked you a simple question: to find out how long.” She says “I don’t have to. If you’re in a rush, you should have left earlier.” The very nice gentleman that was working with the cars in the lot overheard. HE called the driver and told him people are waiting. The shuttle then came right away (@5:20). I had to run through the airport to catch my flight because of this. If that woman doesn’t want to deal with customers asking her questions than she should not have a customer-facing job. NO ONE NEEDS THIS UNNECESSARY ATTITUDE AT 5AM!! I will be recounting this horrible experience on Twitter as well as in my google and yelp reviews for this location.

This lace is absolutely horrible! You can’t understand half of what they say to you because they’re accents are so thick it’s ridiculous! They charged us $81 to put an extra person as a driver and did not tell us. They sold us a $16 dollar a day charge for road tolls that we did not use not once. RUDE RUDE RUDE!! I will never use them again.

I arrived to drop off my rental very early yesterday morning. I had an experience like I have never had before at Thrifty Dulles Airport. I had a lot of baggage snd it took a while to get it onto the bus. Once one myself and one other passenger were transported to the terminal. Upon arrival the driver got out of the bus and ran across the street to get me trolley. He then proceeded to load my baggage onto the trolley and wheel it into the building. I wish I had gotten his name as he was incredibly kind and really did restore my faith in humanity which had been waning of late. Thank you

What an awful experience we had. Our plane was late so we didn't get to the rental place until 3am. We had a reservation but they had no cars. One person left at the desk (first night so he had no clue) and one at the gate. The person at the gate called the manager who instructed him to give cars to those of us waiting that were under maintenance. He drove it around the parking lot to test it. When asked if this car would get us 5 hours away without breaking down he said "I'm pretty sure". They gave us a 9 passenger van, not the full size car requested. He suggested we go back the next day to exchange it. We had to cancel our plans for the next day so we could go back to the airport to exchange the car. The next day, the manager was very helpful and gave us our choice of cars a small credit of $50.00. We also requested that he add an additional driver, which he agreed to do at no charge. The person checking us out (also new to the job) knew about this and assured us we would not be charged for this. When we got the bill after the rental, we were charged for the additional driver. I have made three calls to Thrifty to dispute the charges. They assured me a supervisor would call me back within 24-48 hours. I was told this both times I called and neither time did a supervisor call me back. What TERRIBLE customer service!! Not just the nightmare of the rental but then being charged a fee for something a company representative told us we would not be charged for. The customer service agent I did talk to told me that the charges would stand. He would not call the location and talk to the manager and there is no way for me to call the location. When asked for the number of the location, they gave me the 800 number I just called. DO NOT RENT from these people. They were willing to give me a car that needed maintenance and then lied to me. I will never rent again from Thrifty, Hertz or National as they are all the same company.

It was a smooth experience. They had our reservations ready to go plus we got an upgrade all in the same quote as before.
